About
I'm a motion designer based in Johannesburg with more than a decade in broadcast: channel branding, promo packaging, programme openers, news graphics and the systems that keep a channel consistent on air every day.
I started as a fine artist and illustrator. My early commissions included original paintings for the official Zulu Kingdom calendar, before I studied brand communications at Vega and moved into television design.
Most of my career has been spent inside broadcasters, where design has to be both distinctive and dependable: identities that hold together across hundreds of promos, graphics packages other editors can use, and turnaround times measured in hours. At Moja Love I joined at launch and have led motion graphics since, overseeing the pipeline from concept to delivery.
I work across 2D and 3D, compositing and VFX, editing and illustration. More recently I've been building AI into my production workflow, using generative tools for what they do well, then art direction, rotoscoping and compositing to make the result specific rather than generic.
Experience
Moja Love
Lead all motion graphics and design for the channel: programme introductions, promotions and complete broadcast graphics packages. Manage and maintain visual collateral for consistent brand quality, and oversee the motion graphics pipeline from concept to delivery. Joined at launch and helped build the channel's visual identity systems from the ground up.
ANN7
Maintained and updated the channel's broadcast graphics for brand consistency. Edited and animated promotional content to drive viewership. Conceptualised, designed and animated programme introductions and visual identities with the creative team.
Origin
Created and maintained broadcast graphics and print collateral for DStv channels including Mnet, Mzansi Magic, kykNET and Africa Magic. Produced motion assets for daily broadcast requirements and visual elements consistent with each channel's brand.

Created custom illustrations and paintings for client projects, and managed design projects from concept through to final print production.
